Every year, the senior design students competed to see who will have the glory of designing the poster for the capstone show. In years past, I had heard people complain that they didn’t like the one that got selected and that they felt it was only reflective of one designer’s style.
I created a design that acted as a blank canvas for people to promote the show however they saw fit.
The result was 250 posters we all sat around and wrote on and drew on while we laughed and talked. That opposed to 40 full-color posters for the same budget as years previous…. that’s just good design.
